I personally wouldn't fuck with a salvaged car unless I was really, really, really cheap.

It is really your opinion, I personally would not purchase one because of the resale value is so crappy, unless I was getting it really cheap and it was repaired by a reputable body shop. IMO

You'll never be able to trade it in if it has a salvaged title on it. My parents have a truck they bought that has a salvaged title. It looks nice, but when they needed a new windshield, it was a b!tch to put it in. I had a Camaro that was in an accident and had electrical problems that weren't fixed when the body work was done. It was all hidden too. Some vehicles are fine after they are repaired. It all depends on where the car was hit and what was repaired. It could be anything from a flood to a fire to a roll to hail.

Salvaged cars are good if you're making a monumental project (i.e. something that is going to be used for either racing or showing only) and you want to lower your initial costs. I wouldn't mess with it as like, your actual car. It's just...ghetto.

I think salvage title is over rated. Dont be afraid of it. Just check where the car was hit . If its a front than there might be a problem. If it was hit on the side of on the back than there shouldnt be any problems.

my car is salvaged, a '96 Accord that i bought for $6995, and it had 43,xxx miles on it. I guess it was originally from FL where it got stolen, the owners didn't want it back so they just took the money and ran. well before i bought it, I did a carfax and it said it had a clean title, but the dealer i got it from claimed it was stolen. well I guess from what i heard, in MA, the state police are required to go through the vehicle before they can sell it to make sure everything is alright with it. the only problem i have had with it, is that there is no cupholder. I could prolly sell this thing for about $8000 right now since there are only 53k miles on it and the carfax would come up clean...
