isnt all RAM the same size???

isnt all RAM the same size???
i bought 256mb from Best Buy and i tried to put it in, but it is so hard to snap in. so i finally get it in, but when i try to start the computer, it just beeps and doesnt turn on...

no there is 168 and 184 pin ram

does that change the length? cause its like the same length, just hard to fit in, mad tight i guess

PNY, 256 MB DDR 2700.. it was 20 bucks at best buy

all ram is kinda hard to get in but there is SDRAM, DDRAM, RDRAM....whip out your motherboards manual to see what kind you can use

ddr is all 184 pin so that's not the problem, is it the same speed as the rest of your ram and check your mobo manual and make sure you support it

how old is your comp? are you sure it uses DDR?
