Yes to an extent you are right, but why does Intel or the other gazillion brands out there not have the same problem. Seems to me like Asus just didn't take the time to issue a report on this problem since it seems most people with PCI video cards have the problem.

Anyway I am getting my AGP card and wireless keyboard and mouse next week and I'll see what it does.

i cant think of any intel motherboards ive ever owned with onboard sound.

but of all the motherboards ive ever bought with onboard sound ive had this problem...until this one

i went all out on a ABIT KT400, but it has onboard sound and LAN i think, i dont notice this at all, but im also using a MS USB mouse.
