Dumb question: Is SARS lethal? All I've hared is that you get a high fever and flu like symptoms. Doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me. :dunno:

Yes it is leathal. I think 3 people died here in Toronto. I don't have any demographics on who is effected though.

i think they have a good handle on it, it's not going to turn into the black plague or anything. the CDC is 90% sure they have the strain figured out. this is all just blown out of proportion by the media, as always. just like the infamous mosquito disease(what was that even called, i forgot) of last year.

:werd: there are 3000 reported cases of SARS now? only about 100 has died. that's a ~3% fatality rate. and scientists have almost found a cure or whatever. it'll all be back to normal in no time.
