honestly the scale of this event wont be fully realized for years i think. whats sad is even if BP pays a billion dollars into this loss, it will still be a slap on the wrist with a net worth into the trillions. I think they need to have something truely harsh levied against the company, something thats really gonna make the bottom line change. The fact that they are still more concerned about preserving the oil, then fixing the problem, shows where there priorities are

Most gas stations are independently owned and don't even necessarily sell gasoline from the oil company they brand themselves as. They also make most of their money on stuff you buy in the convenience store and essentially break even on the gasoline. It's just there to get more people into the convenience store.
That said, there's a BP and a Mobil right near each other by my office and the Mobil has been looking way busier than the BP lately. They both have 2 Rockstars for $3 so I switch off which one I go to so as to seem like less of a caffeine fiend.

You want to boycott BP? Good luck on that one 
You use more of BPs product every day than you could possibly remove from your life.
Plastic, medicines, electricity, tires, asphalt roads, food you buy at the stores and just about every aspect of your life contains their product in one form or another. So go ahead and don't buy their fuel, it is like stealing a dollar from Bill Gates and feeling you did him some harm :slap:
