Default Selling advice

What's the best way to sell an engagement ring? I don't want to mess with CL or the paper so I don't get mugged, would I get a decent price on eBay or will I simply have to pawn it?

btw, it's virtually brand new, never really out of the box, but 3 years old so past the store's return policy.

I think the store would still take it but limit you to store credit. Most jewelry stores will buy it but for a fraction of it's appraised value. You'd be better off negotiating the in store credit and hopefully roll it over into a luxury watch or the like.

Nothing baller or anything. .73 Carat center diamond with .19ct total weight accents, 14k white gold. Bought it from Shane Co for $2525 in October 2007.

Your best bet is to go to a couple different Jewlery stores and pawn shops and see what they offer you.

Also, I think that craigslist might not be a bad idea. You can always meet the person in a public place if you are worried about getting mugged. Just get ready for tons of people low balling you.

I wouldn't CL it. I'd go to a couple pawn shops and get their offers. Also a couple jewelry stores too. Take the highest offer.

Sorry your relationship didn't work.
