I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon and am not looking back.

Whoever said they have crap customer service ... I've dealt with them 4 times in the past 2 years and have ALWAYS been happy once I'm off the phone. They've taken pretty damn good care of me.

I live in Louisiana during the school year, and central illinois during the summer. Both places have bumfuck egypt areas, and I always have coverage there. Good stuff.

Hmm so it seems Sprint roams off of Verizons towers, so they have just returned high on my list.

Couple months to think this all over so we will see when the time finally comes I guess.

As for Tmobile they are ok around here but not great, if I can get Sprint pricing for the family plan and Verizons coverage it will smoke Tmobiles offering by far and I would be a fool not to take it. I travel in a lot of rural areas so I see hit and miss service more frequently than city dwellers might and Verizon/Sprint users rarely drop where I go when I have nothing.

I have used Sprint for the past 9 years. The service area is now pretty good, I'm posting from my laptop using phone as a modem in the middle of nowhere Iowa. This town.. well more like village has less than 100 people, and I have no problem with phone calls or phone as a modem.

I can't really speak to pricing, i have an old SERO plan.. so i pay next to nothing for 500 min and unlimited everything else.

The one thing that I don't like about Sprint is that the phone customer service is worse than the DMV. But for the price and the coverage, I can deal with it.

Don't read much do you?

I want the Sprint phone offering and the Sprint package pricing, if I can get those along with Verizons coverage I can do that by simply going with Sprints plan then it is two birds with one stone

My coverage is better than most of my friends. The phone works in surprising places (in the mountains, etc). Service is fine. It's really easy to do almost anything you would want to do with your billing, etc online without ever talking to anybody. I've never really had to do any major trouble shooting though.

My only gripe is the 2-year contract and the fact that Joe Blow can walk in off the street and get a better deal on a new phone that I can unless I wait 2 years.

When I had Sprint for like 7 years, I needed a phone, which they would give me if I were a new customer. As an existing customer, they would not do this for me. I buy a phone, because at the time they had a good network in California and Texas. They started sticking a few bucks of bogus charges on my bill, every month for accessing the internet, which I could not do with my phone at the time. Two trips to the sprint store to "reprogram" my phone, numerous calls, finally I sent them a certified letter telling them that I had been keeping track, and would bill them for my time wasted, all of it, if it happened again. Shortly after that, the rules of phone numbers and cellular providers changed, so I was no longer stuck with sprint. My contract had been month to month for years, I notified them in writing that I was kicking them to the curb and went with a new company. Sprint sent me a bill for a few hundred bucks, then a 100% late charge after I ignored initial letter. I sent them a certified letter that delineated how much time I had wasted trying to resolve a chronic issue, unsuccessfully. I also enclosed an invoice that was very detailed, who I spoke to, date and time, how long on hold, trips to sprint store and how much I was billing them for each occasion. I would be happy to pay them the $400 they claim I owe them, right after they pay me for the $1200 they owe me for my time. I advised them I would be taking them to small claims court, which could get pretty expensive, as it would cost them $1000 a day

They caved immediately

Sprint is freaking awesome. I used the sprint navigation from nyc to cali and never lost signal, and use it everyday in the northeast. Verizon and Sprint roams off each other or in other words, if Sprint doesn't work then Verizon doesn't.
I have a $59 employee plan and my wife has a $49 unlimited everything plan thanks to a nice CS.

oh and you can get a new phone with the discount every year instead of the two year waiting period.
