Default Alan Wake

Anybody played this game yet?
It's got me kind of interested, the graphics are pretty stunning but was curious if anyone had any comment on gameplay and story. It's getting pretty high marks in reviews but that rarely tells the whole story.

I've only played through one chapter so far so I can't really give you an adequate recommendation. I'd say it's like Silent Hill with more action so far, which is a good thing.

Third person. Controls similar to like Uncharted or something. You use light (flashlight, flares, etc) along with normal guns to dispatch enemies. It's pretty cool.

Okay so the novelty of the combat has worn off completely.

I've beaten it and I have to say that I can't recommend this game. It's hot garbage. Oh well... back to Red Dead Redemption.
