thats like saying a toyota corolla is as good a car as a Lexus GS430. I know DEI now owns Clifford, so does that mean that the Concept 600 has the same features as say a Viper 500ESP? Not a chance. As has always been the case, Clifford alarms>Viper alarms.

Its all in the install and which model you buy because many of the Viper alarms have the same features as the Clifford alarms do.

So the question lies in the install once again.....did it have glass break sensor? Did it have the door and hood pins properly installed and in working order (happens a lot that pins aren't working)?

Just curious because I have installed both and they are identical depending on model and have never had any issues with either of them.

You're talking about the low end Clifford alarms, cause the G4 stuff is on another level over the Viper line.
The most important difference between the two is that the G4 stuff is made w/"always on" circuitry, whereas Viper is "always off." They come with more standard features and have better options. I agree that the install is as important as the alarm you choose. No, It didn't have glass break sensor, but it wouldn't have mattered if it did cause the bastards didn't break any glass. Yeah, the pins were installed properly and working, when they stole it, I heard the alarm chirp like if somebody had bumped it. I got up, got my shoes on and went out there and it was gone. The only thing that could have saved my car from being taken that night is blackjax, which I now have.

Blackjax is advertised as an anti-carjack feature. It's not at all like LoJack. It's like this, when you get blackjax, you get a plain view coded valet keypad on which you have to enter ur secret code(up to 4 digits) everytime you get in the car. If you start to drive off w/o entering the code within a certain amount of time(user selectable) then the alarm will chirp to remind you, you then have a few more seconds to enter it or the alarm will shut the car down and you'll be dead in the water, sirens blasting and nothing will stop it. Anytime a door opens and closes while the car is running, you have to enter the code again, that's why it's called "anti carjack" cause if you get jacked, the fag jacking you has got to opent the door at least so he can get in, blackjax won't let him get far, you can walk to recover ur car once it dies cause he doesn't know ur code
