we just got my mom a new 14 footer sunday for mothers day ... can't wait to try it out. local shop had their entire collection half off

 

My dad just bought a 14ft SOT. He's got really bad joints and he did say that it was alot easier to get in and out of, and (i think he was saying) that there was some tarp-ish cover he bought that you can use just incase that it does rain:dunno:

i went kayaking once in october 09. my goal for the 10 minutes was to NOT flip and fall in the river. i did not fail.

really crappy kayak + no experience kayaking + russian river(norcal) + 10 minutes = terrifying

but i made it and here i am talking about it

 

Sounds fun, but the only kind of kayaking around here is of the white water variety, and I'm too much of a pussy for that shit.
