A few of my buddies dug out their old RC rides and built a track. Gets them out of the house, away from the wives

it was a traxxas rustler.
+1 on the Traxxas Rustler. My gears got all fucked up way too often. And my motor is going. I still have it somewhere

+1 again. I want a nitro one. A kid on my block had one and used to drive it down the main road full speed. That thing flew.

Nitro is a pain in the ass. An hour of play for 3 hours maintenance it feels like and the motors are finicky as fuck.

My next one is electric all the way.

So I found a hobby shop 5 minutes from my place. Bought a few 3000 mAh NiMH batteries, the first of which is charging up right now. I also rigged my handheld camcorder and mic to the truck for shits and giggles.

Charged up the battery, hooked it all up, turned on the controller and...nothing. I am not sure what the problem is. Going to have to read through the building instructions and see if I can get it working again.
