I mean, I DO live in San Diego and SHOULD know what May 5th is known for, but I dont care to remember or look it up, so can someone explain this rookie 'holiday' to me?

It's my wife's birthday today so we have dinner reservations here at 5pm and then we are going to a Cinco de Mayo party here. There are margarita specials as well as an ice luge for Tequila shots. I'm anticipating a good night

Strictly an American holiday even though it is celebrated in the guise of celebrating mexico's independence....funny how even that has lost it's way :chuckles:
