I'm glad to be an 80s baby. Late 90s till todays babies are just all fucked up and I worry...my gf's little sister is only like 10 and she's on her cell phone all day talking to her other 10yr old friends on the phone. I felt like I've posted this 100 times.
I try my best to raise my daughter the way I was.

Meh... I never been a big phone guy. But I remember my older brother (37 now) talking for hours in the phone to his friends and gf. The cell part just makes it more accessible IMO.

And I remember staying in on rainy day and playing Mike Tyson Punchout, Rad Racer and Zelda for hours.

But to link this to the happy meal thread my parents would push me to play outside, but they could also afford to buy me a bike, have a pool, send me to the boys scouts, day camp.

Our 4 year old granddaughter knows how to use the iPhone...she used the pictures or icons and called us one day.

As to the boy scouts, I had my son rappelling aussie style at 13...he was the only scout in camp allowed to do this, and with being against the wall, just coming down in free space.
