Saw a sneak preview of Robin Hood
Meh.
Went to a free sneak preview of the new Russel Crowe Robin Hood last night. It was highly mediocre. A few funny parts and the action was decent, but they tried to go for an "epic" feel and I think they failed. Like I said the action was decent -- though it was only rated PG-13 so it couldn't be nearly as bloody as a medieval war movie needs to be -- but they were trying to portray an epic battle for the fate of England and all of the action set pieces just felt too small. Not nearly enough troops on the field.
Some of the lines and plot developments were difficult to follow, everything developed way too quickly, and you could tell they were definitely setting up for a sequel -- which I don't think they'll get since this one wasn't very good.
