I'm gonna get the DLC when I get home. Off work today but moving furniture sucks. At least the weather is nice!

 

During the Winter when I would start it she would rev up to around 3k and drop down but instead of stabilizing to idle she'd just stall... Second start would never have any problem. Same for a warm start no problem.

Then 3 weeks later the service engine soon came on. The car was running great so I figured it must be related to the cold start problem but still figured I’d bring it for a maintenance soon....

Then 2 weeks after the (this Sunday) I was on a 1 hour road trip and when I got off the highway the car started feeling weird. It would stutter when at idle and actually stalled a couple of times. At 50Km/h no problem flawless but idle would stutter and shit.

So i figured the Throttle body is probably dirty and shit... I cleaned it reset the idle and still didn't fix the problem (although it did help). I dont have the scanner so i had to send it in.

I hope this won’t be too expensive

 

Did you check the vacuum system?

 

i didn't see any problem visually... but i'm not sure how i would check for a vaccum leak

 

My WRX gave me a check engine light, it was the short ram intake messing with the MAF reading. I took that piece of shit off and put the stock one back on.

All good now.

 

yeah the wrx maf sensor's are uber sensitive to intakes.

tark, remind me to ask you what went wrong with your G35. i'd like to know in case it happens to mine. what year is your car again?

I'll try to remember to post in here to let you know... i just hope/pray it's not something too major. I can't really afford expenses of $1k right now. and this kind of shit stressed me the fuck out i'm not good with these kind of situations :wtc:

 

damn i got 2 error codes...

MAF and a O2 sensor each one of these are $500 :wtc:

 

that include the labor to replace?

cuz other wise efffff that ... talk about expensive

 

yeah... my garage told me he was going to try to clean the MAF sensor. Fuck talk about a shit load of bad luck.
