Default Digital Cameras?
I am thinking about buying a compact digital camera. The one I am looking at right now is the Canon PowerShot S230. Anyone have any others in the same class? Comments on them please

Not sure if its the same class but I've got a Sony DSC S85 4.0 megapixel with the Carl Zeiss kick fawking azz lense.......lots of upgrades available also

I have a kodac 1.3mp That I use for posting pics. It cost me $70 for a refurb off ubid.

Friend has a Sony DSC-S75... 3.3MP.... it rocks...

He's selling it to get a Nikon CoolPix D100.... $1500 ouch

hahaah D100 is nice, but it's not the price of the camera that gets you.

it's the price of the lenses.

My good friend has the D100 and 3 lenses. 2 of the lenses were $2300 each. One of them was $1600.

Just shits and giggles, but I would like to have something I can take resonable quality pics as well. 1.3mp or so minimum, and want to be able to take small video w/ audio clips as well on occasion.

nikon coolpix 2500 or 3500 are very nice camera's. Well priced too.

the canon is pretty good one then.

I would stickwith that.

Have you tried it out to see if you like it?

my friend has the S230 and he likes it. it's got good features and takes nice pics.

not as nice as some of the Olympus(sp?) ones but they also cost more $$
