When you buy a brand new motorcycle..
...... j/w, can you negotiate pricing like with a car? I want to go to a Honda/Suzuki dealer to check out the bikes this weekend. No, I am not buying, just looking. :fawk:

depends on the bike. if it's in high demand like a new sportbike, expect to pay around MSRP. i was only able to get $600 my F4 when i bought it.
you can usually negotiate the ~$1000 "dealer prep" fees though.

It all depends on what they have on the floor. If it's last year's model, you can get it cheap because they want to get rid of it. Most of the time, they'll give it to you for $200 more than what they paid for it.

basically the dealer has to install/align the forks, and put the wheels/brakes/chain on.
