engine light is on =(

Default engine light is on =(

and whenever i come to a stop the car starts vibrating pretty badly and feels like its about to shut off - the tach drops to right above the 0 line

any of you guys know what could be wrong?

i havent checked the codes yet but i did check oil/water they are ok no upgrades on the engine... just stock civic

97 honda civic w/ 70K miles... last tuneup was at 35K... yeah ive been slackin

I don't know Civics (so move this to the Civic forum), but I'd say, Maint Req'd light would be for oil change. Check Engine codes as per Dubster & Reno. A quick search of the Civic forum should yield some help.

electrical tape will fix that light right up.
Or pulling the bulb, hehe.
