Ok.... the Acadamey awards are really sucking some ass. Chicago got best picture??? besides the coming attractions for the academy awards I had never even heard of Chicago....
wtf!??!! Where did all these movies come from??? The Hours? The Pianst?!?! I never heard/saw these. Are these only played in certian areas or something? How can they get so many awards and I've never seen or heard of them. Where did they come from!?!?

My lady wants to see Chicago :dunno:
Anyway, a lot of the movies you've mentioned are played in all areas, but not too many people heard of them because they were not advertised as much. Then again, I could be wrong....they play almost everything here in CA :fawK; heheheh Also, these movies are often overlooked because most of them are regarded as "chick flick" or a couple movie.

Lord of the Rings... now that was a damn good movie. I don't see how this chicago crap could be better than that!?!? 
But again that's my opinion and I'm also not the one handing out oscars.
I still don't see how one of these "overlooked" movies could be so awarded... it obvisiouly was not as well recived by the public... hell I dunno. I just thought LOTR was so great... I'm pissed it didn't get best picture and was overtaken by this little known nitch movie that was shown to like 5 people.... grrrrr

I got the LOTR double DVD when it first came out... and then I also got the 4dvd set of The Fellowship.
Yea, I'll end up getting all 3 and probably the set also.
My mom is a big Tolken fan.... LOTR is kinda what got my parents together actually... was a blind date and they didn't think either was cool at all... then started talking about books and LOTR came up, that got them talking about the Tolken books more and they realized they both love the LOTR story, one thing led to another and here I am.
