the problem is now that some soldiers are faking that they are surrendering. they had one of teh groups fake it and when they got close enought they opened fire on them. that i believe is gonna happen more and more often the closer we get to baghdad.

Pretty soon the troops are going to get tired of that and will shoot them down anyway. It's like what happened in Somolia. The enemy were shooting our troops while hiding behind women and children. After being shot so many times, our troops shot back regardless of who was standing in front of the enemy. It's sad and gruelsome, but that's war.

Most of the low ranked Iraqi soldiers ranked out because they probably would have more humane rights as a U.S. POW than an Iraqi citizen.

And with the false surrenderings, Im pretty sure the troops take full precaution now.

what im not understanding is when they surrender, all of the soldiers have to drop all their weapons except for sergeants and stuff. they can keep their side arms. i dont understand why. wouldnt you think they would make them fully disarm?
