i have used Winamp 3 before, it is too buggy. until the bugs are fixed, i will not upgrade 2.8

 

winamp 3 works for me. But I'm more partial to theWinamp 2 series. I like it's functions more, as well.

 

2 = nullsoft
3 = aol

 

I had been using 3 for sometime... it's still very buggy and even on the forums they will tell you it's an Alpha/Beta.... DONT USE IT. They also tell you that it's for developers and shiz...

I recently switched back to winamp 2.81 cause I was sick of the skipping and problems with 3. It sucks.

Yes, winamp 3 is what they show on the main page... but winamp 2.xx is still the "Main" product they recommend.

they are developing a neew version of winamp dubbed version 5 (2+3) that has the skins of 3 with everythig else of winamp 2 (including the low resource requirements)

 

3 is still beta. It's buggy. Slow (compared to 2.x)

Version 3 is not actually meant for people... they say it all the time in the forums. It's for people to develop and work with the modularness of WA3.

2.9 is production. 3 is development.

 

2.9 is the 3 without all the ghey flashiness
