Chrysler any day of the week. I used to own a Plymouth Acclaim Turbo & loved it 
Not to mention the Benz ties, quality seems to be going up. I like where they are going with product lines too, so they get my vote.

I would buy a Ford. To be very specific I would only buy an 86-93 mustang 5.0. My brother just picked up an 86 5.0 hatchback for 550 dollars. Not bad, and it'll kick most of these cars asses on this board too for less than 1000 dollars. The previous owner did alot of headwork and claims the car to be doing mid to high 13's.
