In terms of having western Europeans, Canada is diverse. In terms of non-white ethnicities, it surely isn't.
2006 census: 7.7% asian, 2.5% black, 1.3% filipino, <1% for any other minority.
Compare that to the US: 25% Hispanic or Latino, 12.4% black, 4.4% asian.
To put it into perspective, there are more blacks in America (38 million) than the entire Canadian population (33 million).

you head to europe or the middle east and its MUCH worse, its been going on for much longer and the people there just consider it the norm. point in case, gypsies in europe, asian workers in the arab peninsula(dubai) ... it's much worse but it's generally ignored because the general population there all have a mentality that its ok.
