Default sick puppy

so, for the past week or so, one of my dogs has been pretty sick. she's had a fever, diarrhea, hasn't been eating, and been sleeping all the time. we took her in and got ivs and drugs and all that crap, but it just doesn't look like she's going to get better without a ton of money. it really sucks to have to put a price on life of such a good friend, but i find with animals, that's what it come down to sometimes. we've spent about 2G's already and just can't see spending much, especially if she's not going to get better anyway. so it looks like we're going to have to put her down. :wtc:

so i guess this is like a tribute thread to Daisy (we call her the doody-head).

Sorry to hear bud. That's always the toughest part about pets... knowing there is going to be a point when you have to put them down.

the worst part is that this is the 3rd animal in as many years. i feel like we must be doing something wrong, but it's all been things we couldn't control. one was a sever heart murmur in a kittah, another was some unknown disease another kitty got (i think from the place that neutered him), and now this which they can't figure out what it is.

thats sad man. Im not a fan of dogs, but hate to hear that kinda thing to any animal. I know when I had to put down my last 2 cats due to old age (19 years old) I actually started to tear up when I was filling all the paperwork out at the vet.

she actually had giardia when we first got her, so that was one of the first things we thought of, but wasn't that. 4 different doctors could figure it out.

we just got back from putting her down. one of the hardest things ever. :wtc: :wtc:

that sucks man.

my first dog broke her back while jumping off the bed at my house. i had to carry her to the car and drive her to the vet to have her put down. it was terrible.

my last memory of her was holding her in the vet room and how excited she got when my dad walked in :hs:
