Off to go get a Torx bit and some Arctic Silver to repair my Xbox, need to tear down my daughtes Xbox and clean it out as well as realign the laser on her DVD drive, it seems to be a little out of whack just a bit.

My Elite ha been RROD for a couple months and don't want to send it in so I am going to do the repair myself once and for all to be done with this crap.

Once I do mine I am going to crack hers open and clean it out real good as well as probably replace the fans and go ahead and do the RROD repair anyways as well as a laser adjustment since it is having some issues here and there with disc reads. Nothing serious just certain discs for no apparent reason.

which instructions are you using for your RROD repair? I have a spare 360 in the closet that RROD'd out of warranty that I have been meaning to try my hand at, but haven't found anything on the net that I really have found trustworthy looking. I have read about the Artic 5 for the GPU/CPU fix, but didn't really know how exactly it was meant to be done.
