US won't allow high 40's, they will put EPA requirements on it until it drops below the low 40's to mid 30's no matter what.

I should actually try beating my last record of 39.5mpg, hell I'd even be willing to get an '87 HF just to see what I could pull off after doing my own rebuild.
I guess the only hope is some aftermarket body parts that better complement the car, and yes a K-swap.
