Default Jet Powered Motorcycle

Not like you think, though. A guy took an old turbocharger, built a jet engine with it, then built a small motorcycle frame around it.

You can read about the build here: http://www.rcdon.com/html/grv-2_jet_bike_project.html

Bench test of the turbine: http://www.rcdon.com/assets/multimedia/GR-...st_768_Kbps.wmv

meh...the ones using the Bell helicopter jets are a lot cooler. There are two of them running around the Portland area, got to see them in action a few years back.

Yeah, the Y2K bikes are pretty freaking sweet, but they aren't built in a guys garage. They are also turboshafts. No thrust is used to make the bike move.

This guy designs and build his own custom parts. Most of them he machined in his garage. Then he designed and built the ECU to control the startup, running, and shutdown of the turbine.
