mazda3 or civic??
Nicely put. :chuckles:
I can honestly say from experience that the roominess of the 5-door 3 can really come in handy, especially if you don't own a truck. Case in point, my wife bought a patio furniture set last summer and failed to check to make sure it would fit in the Civic first. She had to call me to come meet her at the store and luckily the box fit in the back of my 3 no problem.

the escape is on the list of "considering" for that reason as well
yeah mazda 3 over current civic for sure.
mazda listens to its enthusiasts, and you can see it when you drive the cars. civics are great too, but we all know how well honda listens to its fan-base.

If you went with a 2 door civic, I'd probably get the SI version (it does help that I own one), just for the extra HP and 6 speed. Also adding aftermarket audio gear isn't difficult, just get the Navi Climate Control bezel, that is a double DIN opening, just pop in a Head Unit, and a blank for holding CD's and you are off to the races. But I think it will all come down to personal choice after driving the 2-3 choices that you have.
