I just picked up the Harmony 1100. Tell me more about it. Do I really need the RF Extender?

if you have IR components that are hidden from line of sight, then yes you need the extender. if not no.

Don't listen to Rick he knows nothing about Logitech.

But I agree with his conclusion.

Thanks Rick and John. It was a toss up between the Harmony One and this. I figured at least with this, I will never have to buy a new Harmony Remote again. Ultimately what I hope to do is when we move into a house, have all the equipment stashed away ina a closet. This way I have the remote now and won't have to worry about it later.

Now i'm just waiting for Rick to come in and say that he has one for his bathroom or this model is obsolete because they are coming out with one that does bluetooth tomorrow.

I'm in the same bot as you Jae, trying to pick one to control Living room HT setup. I'm torn between the 900, 110, and One.

I have a 520. Works well enough for my basic setup of tv, dish box, PS3 and stereo receiver. I did get the Harmony IR-Bluetooth adapter to control my PS3. It works but maybe a tad laggy. I blame Sony for not including an IR receiver.
