Doing a speech about war against Iraq. HELP!
I am doing a speech in my class about how the war against Iraq is not needed and need links to sites that give facts and details about the future war. I prefer to have the sites from an unbiased point of view, too.
If you're going to make a persuasive argument, you will have to do some work yourself. Your research needs to support your argument, which is, by definition, not unbiased.
I suggest that you attack the efficacy of Bush's plan. You could knock down the WMD excuse by pointing out that under the UN peace, Iraq has used zero WMD against zero people. And the last time Iraq used WMD was during a war Things like that.

SaviouR - Just kind of curious...Did you select that topic, or did your teacher select it for you? Is everyone in your class taking the same position, or has the class been divided into "pro" or "anti" war sides.
As to you finding sources that are "unbiased," it might be a little tough. Good luck in any event.

There are no good reasons why we should not be at war with Iraq. When you look at the reasons why (eliminating WMD, a haven for terrorists, and a brutal dictator, protecting the US from future attacks) we are at war it is pretty obvious. Good luck though in forming a good argument why we should not have gone to war...this is indeed a tough topic you have selected.
And knocking down the WMD reason by saying Iraq has not used them is a very weak argument. I would suggest you not use that one. The fact of the matter is Iraq is not allowed to have them under UN resolutions...that is why there are UN sactions on Iraq. Iraq has had ample time (12 years) to get rid of them and so far has not produced documentation that it has.
