So, when I purchased my moms laptop on cyber monday the shipping date was an expected 12/28... kind of bummed.
A few days later I found out this was probably due to the lack of BD-ROMs for the CW series. Understandable.
Yesterday I found out that they were getting a lot of canceled orders so they were biting the bullet and shipping CW's with BD-RW's that they had in stock.
Today I checked my order status and it says shipped with this note "Special Holiday Standard Shipping Upgrade"
If this thing comes in with a BD-RW it definitely qualifies for my greatest buy of '09 seeing as the CM deals already gave me appx. 200 dollars of upgrades (incl bd-rom) free
Cliff:Sony screwed up, shipping a lot of laptops with BD-RW's to compensate
