Yes, old, but still awesome.

Also, you can use any two Info Red sources to make your own Wii "Receiver"


I have used.

Two candles and Two people holding lighters.

To use the wiimote at extream distance.

Any two things that give off IR will work, spaced correctly.

It's a spectrum of light, invisible to the eye.

take you're cell phone camera, point it at your remote control.

Press the button.

You can see it light up on your phone, but not with your eye.

That's IR.

Most things that burn give it off.

You have to point your photo at the business end of the remote...

But it's a pretty cool example.
