khmer is their way of saying it. cambodia came from the french term "cambodge" which was coined because the frence couldn't pronounce kampuchea. Most people around the world know the country as cambodia or cambodge, but khmers know it as kampuchea and label themselves as khmer.:thumbup:

Born and raised in southeast Michigan. Nearly 100% French heritage, with probably a little bit of whatever else was in Canada in the 17 and 1800s. But I ain't no Finlander, eh?

thank you very much. i was talking to my gf, and saying that you just decribed what khmer is to me. and i said it just like it's spelled...and she was like damn...you sound so white! haha. i was like doh! So now I even know how to say it. lol

got a lot of them, but im mostly a white boy. Dads family is like german/Norwiegan (sp?). Moms side is from Panama and all those other things
