Default Sheer domination

FYI, if you didn't see it, Manny Pacquiao ran a clinic on Cotto. Took his belt and his pride. Knocked him down twice in the early rounds. Cotto managed to throw some solid jabs, but it was a one way street the entire bout.

Pacman Mayweather!!!! I can't wait!

Good fight. Always had high respect for Cotto. He showed up strong as predicted. But as fierce as those jabs were they couldnt phase Pacman, only help him "test the waters." Great job to Freddie and the camp, they knew exactly how to capitalize on Cotto when his habits left him vulnerable. 7 belts baby.

Oh and Ramiele... :bandito:

I have a few notes on Cotto:

1) Cotto never fought anyone worthwhile. He has never fought anyone even remotely on Pacquiao's level..

2) He has a bad habit of leaving his jaw wide open. He started off pretty well, but went back to his old habits. If you notice after the 6th round or so, his elbows were a little wider than his shoulders. Plenty of room for uppercuts.

3) Good thing he was in great shape, otherwise he would have been knocked OUT.

4) He showed his hand too early. First 2 rounds should be feeler rounds - - don't go balls deep.

the increase in weight didn't slow Pacquiao speed at all. Cotto defense suck, he left his left side open too much and Pacquiao took advantage of it.

Hopefully Mayweather vs. Pacquiao happens.

IMO his move up in weight did slow his speed, especially his flurry speed, as well as his overall punching volume.

I would give him more credit than that, considering he fought 21 championship fights, beat two future hall-of-famers, and has been the most avoided man on HBO [by Mayweather, Hatton, Tzuyu, V. Harris, among others] for years... I gotta defend my second favorite fighter h:

Other than that, Pacquiao fought a very good fight. IMO the stoppage was premature, but Pac pretty much dominated him in every category. Did anybody bet on this fight? I bet on the fight going over 9.5 rounds @ +122 odds.

I can't wait for him to fight Mayweather, somebody needs to shut him the fuck up.. for real. Mayweather can be beat, and most experts agree he already was beat against Jose Luis Castillo, too bad the judges slept through the fight.
