Just played around with a friends iPhone, she didn't have much on it, just a couple of apps, some games, some music and an episode of some tvshow (dollhouse? wtf?)

anyway.... the phone just felt outdated in my hand, the games a little too simple , the browsing blah and the sound and video quality really let me down... i wanted to like it since i was planning on grabbing one... but :sad:



What do you think? is the iphone due for a retooling? its been over 2 years and doesnt look like it changed much....

 

I always thought of it as overrated. :dunno:

 

considering every other major upcoming phone ie: droid, HTC HD2, etc are fashioned in the same manor i would say it is still up to snuff. I think it just seems dated because it is pretty much the phone of the masses at this point. When I got mine people were like "wow is that an iphone" now people just assume I have an iphone like the other 230493240234 people on the street.

 

It's a simple design that does the job well.

 

exactly, I mean what do you need to add to something so simple and effective.

one button, big screen, easy interface, slick execution....pretty much everything in a phone.

 

thats the thing... the design is almost too simple... 1 screen, 1 button...... needs more cowbell imo.

I thought to myself, why doesn't apple just get rid of the button and increase screen size h:

 

Yeah, good luck finding a better phone with a smoother GUI..............the Droid is nice, has its own GPU but reports are showing it's still not as smooth as the Jesus phone.

 

i do think it looks a lil "dated" only because it hasnt really changed since its launch. its a huge screen with a single button. not much to change unless they make a circle shaped iphone. or some other random shape. lol

 

Do you really find that one button so restricting?

 

only way to make the iphone better is make the carrier better h:

if the rumors are true and Verizon is set to get the iphone in a year I will more than likely jump right back in where I left off.
