switching to Verizon....
Nationwide Select 450 (includes unlimited text) - $60
Email & Web for Smartphone - $30
Total - $90
As opposed to iPhone:
Nation 450 - $40
Data for iPhone - $30
iPhone Unlimited Messaging - $20
Total - $90
So.....if you like Google Voice on your iPhone, and you can drop down to an even cheaper text plan to get your AT&T bill lower, why'd ya plunk down for the TP2? Just want to get to Verizon anyway?
Correct.

ATT:
900 minutes
data
text
Verizon:
I did 39.99 plan with 450 min.
added data 29.99
added 500 text for 10.00
everybody i know is on verizon so the verizon to verizon being free on text and minutes makes it easy to keep them low.
edit: fuckers
they said it would go next day and it went 2Day so I won't get it until friday

Well, enjoy the switch, TP2 is a pretty solid phone.
Check out xda-developers.com forum, there should be plenty of stuff on there for you to play with. Here's the section you want: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=479
I suggest getting the cab file to add HTC wifi tethering (turns your phone into a MiFi hotspot).
Sega Genesis Emulator is called Picodrive, SNES is called PocketSNES.
If you need to browse Flash there is Skyfire, otherwise there are ways to tweak Opera Mobile to do Flash.
Bing Mobile app has rudimentary free turn-by-turn navigation.
Fring is a good IM client.

Yeah it seems to have a pretty good size nodding scene which is good. I already bought copilot8 live for navi duty. Verizon also told me that it will be releasing 6.5 before the end of November
welp got my phone today and all I can say is HTC touch pro 2 >>>> iphone. This thing is like a laptop in my hands. The operating system is incredibly smooth and the capabilities I am still trying to unfold. After I ported my contacts over from google I did facebook link which automatically searched for the people on my phone on facebook and linked them to their contact. This takes there FB photo and makes it there contact card photo. It also updates when they update their status and puts it under their name on my contact list. Some of you mite think it is excessive and it can be turned off, but it flows in so seamlessly. Just click and hold down on their photo and bang you are on their FB wall ready to post. I was pretty impressed with that little feature. I also forgot how awesome a physical keyboard is. I am waaay faster on it and it makes surfing the net and posting huge blurbs like this a no brainer. I would never have posted all this from the iphone it was just too much of a pain in the ass.
cliffs: new phone >>> iphone.
