I saw a PS3 connected to a 50in Bravia 1080p @ the Sony Store. It was playing Wall-E. I pooped myself.


1080 makes 720's look like dookie.

On bluray and a bigger display like a 50"+, yes. If you were playing a normal movie and not an animated one, the difference would be less noticeable. I was blown away when I saw a bluray of Madagascar.

i sit at about 15ft away from the TV
resolution between 720p vs. 1080p is moot
PQ, however, will always be appreciated at any distance

regardless,
my next upgrade will be a panny plasma
