It's actually really hard to tell, as the vaccine is safe enough that it is very difficult to separate adverse events caused by the vaccines from adverse events that would have happened anyway, vaccine or no vaccine. For example, if you take a million people and give them a survey, odds are that several of them will have a heart attack or die in a car crash within 24 hours of taking that survey. Same thing with a vaccine - some people will have had something happen to them anyway.

But most numbers I've seen list the rate at around 1 serious adverse event per 1 million vaccinated. These include Guillain-barre syndrome, dystonia, and death.

I think he meant the chances of you dying from the flu are much greater than your chance of dying from the vaccine :chuckles:

same... the vaccine's benefits > risk of side effects. Only advantage of not taking the vaccine is the calling in sick when you do get the flu

Like the flu is that bad? I got a flu shot one year and got sick from it. Dont know if it saved me at all. I never get them though after that.
