You buy the tools for the job at hand. I do a lot of outdoors stuff (kayaking, fishing, hiking, wheeling) and much of it involves remote locations and self reliance.

No you are right.. different need different tools. I've wanted to pickup a quality blade, but I've never looked into it. Ill probably pick something up semi good quality. Not 300 dollar good, but better than my prison shank.
