I will purchase obscure music that I can't find on torrent sites (usually classical, jazz or foreign music). Aside from that, the only album I've purchased in the last 8 years or so is In Rainbows because I supported the idea of the band selling their music directly to the fans. I paid 10P which was like $20.

only music i buy is anything i want on vinyl, or a cd that i want the artwork to.

other wise then that pfffft on buying music.
