$100 after MIB. I've had three EVGA cards and each one's been pretty good.

Or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814134066 for $90

If you don't mind going with ECS, which is sort of a budget brand. Same GPU though and it's rated well on Newegg.

As far as NVIDIA goes, you probably couldn't go below a 9800GT or 8800GT to play Bioshock maxed out. I think the ATI 4850 could do it as well.

How do i know if my motherboard is PCI express 2.0 or not? As opposed to just PCI Express x16

Also, Bioshock says it needs a "Pixel Shader 3.0 compliant video card"

Although i have never seen anything like that in the specs of any of these cards.

Looking at this. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218072892035

It's newer, AGP is still pretty standard. But most new cards use PCI Express 2.0 x16

Almost any new video card has Pixel Shader 3.0. NVIDIA cards past the 6xxx and ATI cards past X1300. So yeah, you'd be hard pressed to find a new card that doesn't have PS 3.0. The cards above have either 4.0 or 4.1.

AGP is getting pretty old school. I just checked Newegg for kicks, and they have 1 motherboard of over 200 available (intel only) that has AGP. It's like trying to buy a new car with a carburetor instead of fuel injection.

Ended up with a Galaxy GeForce 9500GT

Hopefully this thing doesn't suck too hard.

It should serve you well but it won't be the hottest thing around. Did you get the one on newegg? That's not a bad price, $40 after rebate for the 512mb.
