My contract is up in 3 days and I'm eligible for a new phone. What should I get?

What are you looking for? I currently have the Omnia and love it. Great WinMo...AMAZING "hacker" support, large screen, light, etc. And one of the best cameras on the market.

My one gripe is the lack of 3.5 jack for headphones. However there is rumor the Omnia II is coming out soon for it, which blows the Omnia out of the water.

 

no idea. i got an iphone.

 

something that works well with data, maybe some good apps. I dont mind windows mobile although my i760 ran it pretty shitty. Are the blackberries any good?

Im looking into the Omnia now.

 

not to turn this into an att verizon battle, but why aren't you considering att and or the iphone?

att service works great in syracuse.

 

Im on a family plan with 4 other phones, theres no way to avoid VW without the ETF. Besides the family gets a work discount with them so its cheaper than ATT.

Furthermore, my family gets new phones every 2 years and they extend the contract for 2 years. Because they already extended theirs there is no way to avoid the ETF unless we effectively wait 2 years from 1 month ago.

i'm also curious. my Venus' battery crapped out on me, working only when directly connected to an outlet. the moment you pull it out it turns off. i'm eligible for a new phone and was trying to wait for the Pre to come out early '10. but thats like 4 months away and i'm using my friend's brother's old Juke. TERRIBLE

so yeah, any suggestions? i want to be able to use it for work purposes so internet browsing, email, planner, etc. is what im looking for, along w/ user-friendliness, of course

is there a Blackberry that's good? i've never been in the market for "smart phone" til now :hs:

 

I'm going with an iphone as soon as I can. We're going to finally be working from home soon, so boss-man might just pay out the early termination fee to get me on-board. o:

Fuck not having an iphone. It just does so much more so much easier and faster than all the other phones. :hs:

that said, my contract is up in a year, hopefully they iphone will either be available by then or soon after.
