Default Pathway v.Landscaping

Starting on making a pathway for my parents today. Any tips?

Using 8"x8" stones. I'll be laying down about 1" of sand before laying down the stones, then I'll be using a cement type stuff for it. After it dries I may be sealing them, I'm not too sure.

Its going from our existing cement pathway to the road. I decided on the design mainly to lead to the center of our front yard for people to walk, and to cover some dead spots in the lawn.

Any thoughts? Tips? On the inside corners I may add a couple blocks, depending on how they look when I lay them down.

you decided on the design of a zig zag? I would rather go with a nice sweeping curve.

Take a pic of the front yard/house

i would say that zig zag is probably much easier to do than a sweeping curve

Make it an even zig zag. Some of the portions are different sizes.

man up and do a curve... the zig zag looks pretty bleh. I would also put down a weed barrier before you lay your sand, otherwise you'll get shit growing up from underneath.

use polymeric sand and you shouldn't have many problems with weeds
30 bucks worth covers 75-90 sq. ft.

My drawing sucks. It will be the same size. That last 12 was a fuckup. I'll take pictures when I'm done.

Yup. Laying 1" of patio sand, bricks then polymeric sand.
Ordered 3 tubs of Polymeric sand. Each covers 56 square feet.
Ordered 360 bricks.
Ordered 26 backs of patio sand at .5 cubic feet each.
Its raining today so we'll see how much I get done. I'm waiting for everything to be delivered tomorrow anyway, before I start digging up the grass so I can make sure I didn't miscalculate anything.
