the guy did make contact with him and stop him to talk to him more. just sayin' the guy clearly pissed him off

and still completely beside the point, it in no way condones what he did. players have heated exchanges during and after almost every game. i'm not saying it was right of him to tap his shoulder and say something but it in no way makes what blout did acceptable. just because someone pisses you off doesnt make it alright to clock them in the face. at this point these players need to be professionals, not thugs

and yea, he even talked pre-game about the need to keep emotions in check and then he goes and does this. the dudes also been kicked out of practice already once this season

its part of the intimidation factor. you say shit to try and get in the other guys head, make him jump early, try and distract him from the play so he screws up. make him bring emotions into the play and illicit a response that will penalize him and benefit you. it's not like they all stand there and try to start a fight but you say stuff when you can, get in the guys head.

granted it was post game but emotions still run high, especially after the seasons first game.

I was at the game last night and not to far from where the shit went down with the fans. It was nuts. Im pretty sure if a 6'2, 240lbs came running towards me like that, I'd run too.

What happen was totally uncalled for. I can respect some shit talking, but throw a punch? Give me a fucking break. I hope this kid is done for good.

You never run across the field toward the opposite team at the end of a game and start talking shit to players.....They both should be suspended for the season

 do you think kids shouldnt play tag at recess too?

i would hardly call that running across the field to the other team and shit talking ... not only was he headed towards his coach but there were at least half a dozen other boise players next to him.

and so he said something cocky ... if you wanna be a dick and penalize him for it give him unsportsmanlike and hit him for a game. its nowhere near a season ending mistake.

He was already suspended in spring/pre-season. For Oregon, money will come rolling in anyway. They're bankrolled by the CEO of Nike.
