every generation is inherently lazier than the one prior to it, of course there are exceptions but in my experience that's the general rule.

and in each generation the laziness between the rural and urban members is visibly different, i find it interesting my friends here in the city compared to myself and those from the country ... these kids are lazy, things i dont even think twice about doing they consider too much work

I don't think productivity and success is defined by a generation, and anyone who thinks that is ridiculous. Having been born in 1984, I feel I am driven and motivated, but I work with several people born in the mid to late 70's who are the same exact way.

Sweeping generalizations usually make people looks incredibly ignorant.
