Sprint getting an Android phone
sweet, I've been anxious to get my hands on an Android phone but want to stay with Sprint.

Looks like Sprint is finally getting one in October.
Now, just have to see if HTC is up to their "we aren't giving you a standards compliant USB port and no 3.5mm jacks either". The article says it does have a 3.5mm, so that's a start, but I 100% require a standards compliant USB connection.
I will take my laptop to the store and tell them to plug it in, if I don't see the phone charging from my laptop and the memory isn't accessible to me via Linux, I'll leave.
But if it does.... oohhhh I might have a new phone. First in over 4 years.
On a side note, I thought the first one available would be the Samsung i7500 (aka. Galaxy) but haven't heard anything about that coming to the U.S. any time soon. But from what I've seen of that phone, it would be nearly perfect for what I'm looking for.

that phone is ugly.... why would you need a 3.5mm jack if you just use stereo blue tooth h:
also, fyi, you can install Android OS on pretty much any HTC phone... just need to find the proper files.
and yeah the USB thing worries me.. i have HTC 'vogue' or w/e ..... and if its plugged into my computer, and somebody calls... BSOD ...

I want 3.5mm because, 1) I don't have anything that uses Bluetooth Stereo 2) I want to use wired headphones, 3) AUX in the car 4) AUX in on old stereos etc.
Bluetooth would be nice, but I don't see that being an option for cars and old stereo's.
