Apathy Kills
I was in Northridge on Friday loading the moving truck. Even then, the smoke and the 100+ heat were noxious.
By Saturday morning, it was getting hard to breathe. The overnight winds had died off and the whole 818 was filling with smoke and ash. The sky was orange-brown, the sun was crimson and the streets were doused in blue-grey smoke.
I can't imagine it being any better tonight, now that the fires have burned closer to San Fernando and the 14.

I don't know what it is, but it looks like I've got ashes on my car all the way down here in Mexico. Probably not too far out there to think that some of the ashes blew down here. I'm only an hour and a half away.
