Long Island NY is full of Illegal Apartment
Damn... I've never seen so many illegal apartment in the Suffolk country area... Apartments in basements, over garages... They need the extra $$$ to pay these crazy taxes out here... And talk about dirty...

Because it's so much easier (and cheaper) to just rent under the table then go through the local zoning provisions.

in nyc they have places where they rent just the bedroom and have the living room be open and stuff. get 6-700 a room.

meaning you buy a 2-3 familiy home.
You live in one while the other two rents combined pay your mortgage.
