My wife has a Macbook Pro and I have a Dell. The build quality of her Mac is by FAR superior to my Dell. If you can afford it, I'd say go Mac. You can always dual boot Windows.

PC. Do too much gaming, random software downloads, upgrading, and price hunting to switch to macs.

But the mac is a great choice if you've got money to burn, appreciate the design, don't game, and don't upgrade components. I think an iMac would be a good addition to the family for my gf once we have space to put it. All she needs is web, office, and quicken.

Thats what got me thinking of getting it. could use the printer and sell the itouch. never really understood the fan boy tree huggin artist stuff but i seriously doubt i'll become the 1st in line for the next new software debut at an apple store
