Default My room v.myroom

I just took this picture with my new camera and testing it out. And just came up with an idea. Since we just got new solid interior doors for the house I'm going to take the old hollow one, paint it with some pattern, and mount it horizontally on the wall. Anyone have a suggestion on how the best way to mount it?

That room looks uncomfortable. x2 on the desktop, I just took mine down because I mainly use my laptop. My room is still stuffed though. Big guitar amp, guitars, 15 inch subs in my big home stereo unit, TV, and queen size bed.

The best way is to get some angle iron and mount on the side of the door where the hinges were, Then measure our where your studs in the wall are, attach angle to where it will make the door centered on those studs, and then attach the angle to the studs.

Make sure to paint the angle before attaching it to anything.

Another easy thing to do is just drill and screw it to the wall, but you have to be careful where you drill and screw, usually you are safe if you stay within an inch and a half of the sides. Then countersink the screw, putty and paint over them.

Quite a neutral room, I like it. Was that photo taken from the door or is there more space in there?
